I was happy this year to see so many hues of purple offered in the stores for Christmas decorating. Many bloggers are showing the purple they've incorporated too but here, it's always been part of the decor.
Sparkly purple silk poinsettias,
a purple Santa...
a crackled lavender glass ball,
purple sequinned balls on the tree,
as well as a purple bird.
A couple of dark purple glass decorations hang from the drawer of a table in the hall.
And a glimmering purple butterfly is clipped to the handrail.

I shouldn't be surprised.....of course you'll have Lavender at Christmas, and it's just lovely. Like you, I hang decorations from knobs and handles on various pieces of furniture.
Totally fits for you and it's nice to see things a little different. The poinsettias are really unusual. Like them.

Perfect decor for you! Perhaps you could save some dried lavender for the tree next year; I have dried hydrangeas on mine. I love that crackled lavender ornament. Just beautiful!

Purples, lavender, mauve, soft pinks is any other colours so perfect for Christmas decorating (Ok traditional red and green... but that is too ordinary.. ;)... Love it! We too are huge fans of all those colours.

Lovely lavender shades with purple heralding His Majesty come among us! I never used much of it before, but my daughter was married November 16 and her color was a deep purple so my eye has been especially drawn to it this season! She did her tree in her new apartment up with some of the purple decor used at the reception. Lovely! My house is filled with deep burgundy and forest greens with a splash of Victorian pinks and ecru here and there. Hoping to post on Pink Saturday this week after too much busy since the wedding keeping me out of Blogland. Will post my little bit of purple just for you!
