Sure he loves this human, but his best friend is definitely my husband.
And then there's Henry, our grand furbaby, a cockapoo like Topaz that comes to stay with us for sleepovers. He's grandpa's best buddy.
Henry was investigating the stuffed rabbit on my bed so I set it on him, but as you can see, he's not too sure about this furry thing back there.
The two boys get along well.
Like any other dog, and cat for that matter, Topaz loves to find a warm spot indoors to bask in the sun.
I can settle for being second best. When it comes to cuddling, I'm pretty good at scratching behind the ears.

They are adorable! I do think boys are better bonders than girls. When we got the girls we decided to get two I picked Daisy and Mike picked Iris, they thought we picked wrong, Daisy is a daddies girls and Iris loves me best:-) Haha!!

You have touched my heart! My hubby and I do miss our dog who passed about 5 years ago. That was when I started my garden - first in the area where he had made ruts by the fence. Someday we will get a doggie again - just not yet!

Pups are so much fun! Your dogs are so cute!
One of my 3 dogs is bonded more to me, but he is a care-taker, a Havanese - he knows when and right where something is sore and tends to it by licking. Since I've had Bell's Palsy for the past 8+ months, he has only licked the affected side of my face and then, only where it was particularly sore. When he is all finished, he puts his face in my neck or on my face and if we're lying down on the sofa or on the bed...he'll stay there for a good long while - at least until my neck or face is nice and toasty warm. No one, including me has got to tell him where it's sore...or lick here. None of that, he just knows. He is also my protector, being the largest of the 3 pups (he's 17# compared to the others that are 7# & 9#). The other male dog, Maltese and female Toy Poodle - when dad is home, they want to be with him...and the minute he walks out the door, all 3 are in my lap! And when I'm gone, they're with dad and as soon as I return, you'd swear I'd been gone for months!!

Beautiful dogs Judith. Cockapoos are really cute dogs. I am a dog lover and when we had our dog Marshall, he was my buddy as I was the one home all day and looked after him and played with him and fed him etc. He's now at our son's home and won't have anything to do with me. My feelings are hurt. :(

Topaz is adorable.
Oh how cute they both are. I love the picture with the sun on Topaz's face...he looks quite content! He's a silly boy with the toy on his face! Gotta love 'em! Henry is a cutie too- how nice they can be together even if it's for short periods!
